Henry "It all depends on what the boss, But I’d love to stay longer! It’s going to be hard but let’s get in the top 4 & see what happens!” Keown "When I saw Thierry Henry after the game, I was stunned. More than an hour after the final whistle he was still in his kit, trying to take in what he had just done!” Arteta “it’s very proud moment to captain Arsenal!” Pires, Miquel talks! Cissokho deal off!

  • Arsenal hero Martin Keown says Thierry Henry was still in his kit an hour after the final whistle for their win over Leeds United.
Henry was still getting his head around his winner on his emotional comeback.

Keown said: "When I saw Thierry Henry after the game on Monday night, he was stunned. It was more than an hour after the final whistle and he was still in his kit, looking around and trying to take in what he had just done.

"Former footballers often have dreams in which they are back playing for their favourite club again and it takes a while when you wake up to realise that it was just a dream.

"Thierry told me he had those dreams, but against Leeds it was actually happening - he just couldn’t quite believe it. It was surreal and a long way from his first few days at the club in 1999."
  • Arsenal loan signing Thierry Henry admits he'd love to play against Tottenham before his loan expires.
Having scored the winner against Leeds, all eyes will be on Henry as he tries to force his way into Arsène Wenger's plans for a string of glamorous fixtures against Manchester United, AC Milan and Tottenham.

"It all depends on what the boss is going to decide - and what we're going to decide actually on how long I am going to stay," Henry said.

"Do remember that I am very much a Red Bulls player, too.

"But it would be a dream to be part of a team playing in the Champions League or playing against Tottenham. But that goes for every game, the Leeds game, just running along the track to warm up was just crazy.

"Even if I wasn't going to come on, just warming up along the side, the fans were nice before the game and during the game."
  • Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta was proud to be captain for their FA Cup win over Leeds United.
Arteta was full of praise for his team-mates after seeing them progress to the Fourth Round, but called for a more incisive approach in future home fixtures.

“It was really pleasing for me to be captain for a club like Arsenal, it's unbelievable,” Arteta said. “I just want to thank my team-mates for the effort, my manager for the support and hopefully we can build on this and win against Swansea.

“We had many chances to finish it off much earlier but it seems to be like it a lot this year at the Emirates. At least we won, we are through and it was a good result after the disappointment of the Fulham game.

“It is [frustrating] because if you score two goals in the first half it makes it much easier. It becomes harder to control a game [when it remains 0-0], everybody is getting a bit anxious to score and it makes it harder.

“But we were really patient and in the end made the right decision to win the game.”
  • Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has no doubts about a top four finish.
With at least six teams realistically battling for four places, Henry acknowledges the size of the task ahead but says the way Arsenal have responded to adversity fills him with confidence.

"We obviously don't want to be out of the top four. There's going to be a hell of a competition this year to be in it,” he said.

"But I do think this team has what it takes to be in it, if you think about the way the team has come back from the beginning of the season.

"The team is slowly getting into form. Again, we lost a full back against Leeds [Francis Coquelin] and we can do without injuries. That will help a lot.

"But it is what it is. We still had to win a game out there against Leeds and it happened.”
  • Arsenal loan signing Thierry Henry has described Swansea City as "amazing".
Premier League new boys Swansea are next up for Arsenal on Sunday and Henry admits he admires Brendan Rodgers’ side.

"Swansea are an amazing team. I've been more than impressed with them, they play football the right way, they're dangerous, they play with two great wingers and we know it's going to be a difficult game for us,” he said.
  • Arsenal defender Ignasi Miquel was delighted to be part of their FA Cup win over Leeds United.
Miquel believes that resolute defending is the key to Arsenal’s success - because they will always create and take chances.

“We knew that if we kept a clean sheet we would probably win the game,” Miquel said. “Because we are a good team and we know we are going to create chances and score goals.

“We did well. Everybody knew that Leeds would come here and it would be a tough game for us. But I think we dominated the game from the beginning to the end and we deserved the result.

“I think this was a massive result for us to get back to winning ways. I think in the Premier League, every game right now is a tough one. We can't do much more than work and try to play our game.”
  • Arsenal have had an approach for Lyon full-back Aly Cissokho knocked back.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger wants to bring in a left-back on loan and was keen on the 24-year-old French international.

However, Lyon have made it clear that they are not willing to do a loan deal - but will sell for £8million.

Wenger though has insisted he will not do a permanent deal as he still has faith in currently injured pair Andre Santos and Kieran Gibbs.
  • Robert Pires is back at Arsenal.
Thierry Henry was not the only Arsenal legend at the club's Hertfordshire training complex on Tuesday, with former winger Pires working on his fitness.

The 38-year-old Frenchman, who had a spell at Aston Villa last season, said on Twitter: "I am training just to maintain my fitness level!
But thanks I appreciate you all want me back at Arsenal!"
  • Zenit St Petersburg are edging closer to re-signing Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin.
The 30-year-old is fully expected to make the move back to Russia if negotiations continue to progress with former club Zenit.

The fact Arsenal still have question marks over the fitness of some of their squad may put the deal on hold until after the January window closes but the Russian one remains open.

German clubs remain interested but are not close on Arsenal’s desired valuation of around £8million.
  • Arsenal have sold young striker Luke Freeman to Stevenage.
Freeman has joined League One side Stevenage for an undisclosed fee.

The 19-year-old England youth international has been on loan with the Hertfordshire side since November, making nine appearances and scoring once during his time at the Lamex Stadium.

Freeman’s only goal came in the emphatic 6-1 win at Colchester United on Boxing Day and the striker will now be looking to help The Boro’ continue their push towards the League One play-offs.
